Paul van Zeijl received his MSc (1985) and PhD degree (1990) from Delft University of Technology. From 1991 to 2003, he worked at Ericsson on DECT, Wide Area Paging, GSM and Bluetooth, realizing a single-chip Bluetooth transceiver, including RF, radio, baseband and software. From 2003 to 2011, he worked at Philips Research on Bluetooth, GSM, WLAN and radar in CMOS. In 2011 he founded Omniradar, a company designing and selling radar ICs at 60 GHz. In 1991 he was awarded the ‘Vederprijs’ for his contribution to the successful integration of radio circuitry and in 2003 the ‘Best IP/SoC prize’ at the IP-based SoC Design Conference in Grenoble. He has written more than 45 papers and is inventor on more than 40 patent families.
