Faisal Ali Mubarak was born in Pakistan in 1982. He received the BSc degree in electrical engineering from the Rijswijk Polytechnic Institute of Technology, Rijswijk, The Netherlands, in 2006, and the MSc degree in electrical engineering from the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, in 2009. He is currently pursuing the PhD degree with the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands. In 2009, he joined VSL, Delft, The Netherlands, where he’s a research scientist with the R&D department. His current research interests include RF component measurement techniques up to mm-wave frequencies. He’s a member of the international CCEM working group on radiofrequency quantities (GT-RF) and the (European) Euramet technical subcommittee on radiofrequencies and microwaves (WG-RF). Furthermore, he is a co-recipient of the Outstanding Group Achievement Award by the Delft University of Technology and the Ritsema van Eck Prize for designing and launching the first university satellite of the Netherlands in 2007.
