André Prata was born in Santa Comba Dão, Portugal, in 1990. He received the MSc degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the Universidade de Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal, in 2013. He’s currently working towards the PhD degree in electrical engineering at the same university. Additionally, he’s an RF innovation engineer at Ampleon, The Netherlands. His main research interests are software-defined radio, MIMO architectures, and digital pre-distortion of RF power amplifiers. He was the recipient of the 2013 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (IEEE MTT-S) International Microwave Symposium (IMS) Undergraduate Software-Defined Radio and Digital Signal Processing Student Design Competition.
