Microwave imaging technology for automotive applications
The goal of autonomous driving and the vision of having a non-significant number of road deaths by 2050 lead to more and more sensors mounted in modern vehicles. Today’s cars already contain several radar sensors, which are usually mounted behind radomes or bumpers. Those plastic parts can influence the radar performance and should, therefore, be optimized to the correct frequency domain (76-81 GHz). The microwave imaging (MW) technology used by the R&S QAR provides a powerful and intuitive way to interpret the radar compatibility of those parts.
