Downsizing vector network analyzer measurements to nanoscale dimensions

Vector network analyzers (VNAs) have established themselves as the cornerstone measurement technology in the RF and microwave industry. With continuous downscaling of semiconductor circuits, evolution of supporting measurement infrastructure plays a significant role in development of new technologies. For this purpose, traditional VNA measurements systems are facing significant challenges that need to be addressed. This talk will present an overview of VSL’s high frequency research activities for VNAs. The overview will demonstrate VSL’s state-of-art VNA systems used for calibration of connectorized devices to characterize nanoscale structures.
