Antenna design for body-worn applications

In both professional and personal healthcare there’s a great demand for unobtrusive measurements of vital signs such as heart rate and respiration rate. This translates into body-worn sensors that transmit their data wirelessly to a central location. Antenna design for these applications is challenging due to impedance detuning, loss of efficiency and radiation pattern distortion. This talk will highlight key aspects in designing body-worn antennas and present different antenna designs.
